Nantong, June 20, 2019 – The 2nd International Forum on China Aviation Materials, co-sponsored by CAS and local government of Nantong, was successfully held in Nantong, Jiangsu Province.

This forum was themed on “Resource Sharing and Construction of Industry Ecology by Science and Technology”. The participants discussed on aviation supplies information sharing and support, airlines alliance, aviation supplies maintenance & repair service, and regulatory policies under different regulatory authority, etc.

Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, COMAC, and Hainan Airlines shared their mature experience and transformation exploration on the topic such as aviation material information sharing & support, and airworthiness supervision. CASC, Beijing Kailan, AJW and Bireturn shared their concept in terms of aviation supplies pooling service. Airbus, Boeing, Lufthansa Technique, and Honeywell showed their latest achievement in data application & service.

During the forum, CAS led to establish China Aviation Material Alliance, while nearly 30 airlines, including Air China, China Eastern and China southern, responded to the call. The Alliance will set up a unified data platform allowing information sharing and mutual assistance to achieve information service, aviation material support and supplement, and optimization of supply & demand.

This data platform will be constructed by Bireturn, a subsidiary of CAS. Bireturn will integrate the IT service with aviation material support resources to discover a way to build a sharing ecosystem.

More than 60 related companies and about 200 people attended this forum.
