From June 17-20, CASC annual business symposium for 2010 was held in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. High executives of CASC and persons in charge of each division of CASC Headquarter, each company of CASC and each domestic office participated in this symposium. Director Wu Rongkui of the 20th Office of the Supervisory Board was invited to attend the conference.

The major task of this symposium is to summarize the present business of the enterprise, analyze the competitiveness, research the problems during the development, and probe into the direction for the future growth. GM Li Hai of CASC said in his speech that CASC had experienced almost 30 years changes from 1980 to 2010, and this was the 7th business symposium since the foundation of CASC. His speech started from a story: a grocery store, which had a very good business initially, however was impacted badly by the supermarket constructed nearby, regenerated by adjusting the commodity structure and converting the business mode. He explained the inclination from the story that firstly, the competition was inevitable to CASC and the attitudes of memorizing the beautiful past and complaints failed to solve the present problems; secondly the interior reform could strengthen both the adaptability and competitiveness; thirdly, the timely adjustment of structure and business mode reform could bring positive changes to CASC; fourthly, the self profitability was the absolute principle for enterprises. Finally, he encouraged the whole representatives to build confidence and named the topic of this symposium “welcome the changes and make a passion crossing”.

The limited cooperation, Kailan Company, DragonAir Leasing Company, Technology Equipment Company, Northwest Branch, and Tianjin Branch introduced their business carried out, analyzed their own competitiveness, and forwarded the rectification measures to their own companies. The Enterprise Management Division, Planning and Development Division, Finance and Accounting Division of CASC Headquarter made the special topic speeches on relative work and how to respond to the reform. Moreover, discussions on the trend of the future development and measures were carried out in groups.

Secretary Jia Changbin summarized this symposium with the topic of “Welcome the changes and make a passion crossing”. He firstly confirmed that the symposium helped to streamline the thoughts on development, make sure the tasks and firm the confidence. He demanded the whole staffs to firstly look for the distance and increase the capability by catching the opportunity; secondly carry out fine management from the bottom course; thirdly participate in the market development and find the additional channels for profit increase; fourthly improve the regroup by strengthening the Party construction.
