On May 25, the home made B.F. Goodrich steel brake for B737NG jointly developed by Sanyuan Brake Company and Beijing Baimu Air Supplies High Tech. Co., Ltd. completed a successful test flight.

Sanyuan Brake Company started each of the preparation for this test flight right after the successful test flight of home-made carbon brake for A320 family.

The test flight was carried out at Wuhan Tianhe Airport, and China Southern Airlines Hubei Branch provided a B737-800 to support all the test flight. The whole test was implemented strictly according to the “Test Flight Outline” approved by the airworthiness authority with 4 sets of home-made brakes applied to complete the test flight subjects in terms of ground low-high speed taxiing braking, ground stop braking, normal braking during landing and taking off, and RTO etc. The whole procedure was examined carefully by technological experts and leaders in CAAC airworthiness division at presence. The result showed that the home made B.F. Goodrich steel brake was able to meet all the design targets and to adapt to the airworthiness requests with all the test flight subjects passed at once and winning the high praises from the test flight crew.
