On April 20, CASC donated RMB ￥500000 to the earthquake striken area in Yushu through the special program of earthquake relief donation. On the same day, CASC Party Committee called the whole staffs to make contribution to the earthquake strken area in Yushu, Qinghai Province, and all the Party Branches, both in and outside Beijing, responded actively. By April 30, 575 employees of CASC took part in the donation event with a total of RMB 88490 Yuan collected, in which 69540 Yuan was donated to Chinese Red Cross Foundation (CRCF) by units based in Beijing and Guangzhou and the other was contributed directly to the local Red Cross Foundation.

On April 14, a strong earthquake at a scale of 8 took place in Yushu County of Qinghai Province. Since then, both the Central Party Committee and the State Council have paid high attention by demanding an all-out relief, better arranging people’s living at the striken area and maintaining the stability of the society. As one of the central enterprises, CASC should perform the social responsibility actively and each employee of CASC has the obligation to help people in the damaged area get through the hardship and rebuild their home.
