CASC Northwest Company(hereinafter referred to as the Company), the former Northwest Office of China Aviation Supplies, was founded in October 1980. In the early stage, Company was primarily engaged in parts supply for Y-7, Y8 and other Russia designed airplanes. During this period of time, Company was awarded by the State Council for excellent service and gained reputation from Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines and Xinjiang Airlines. In March 1993, Company was issued, by Foreign Trade Department of China, the permit for import and export operation. Since then, Company gradually became a service provider of import and export for aviation industries and enterprises in northwest region. Company maintains long term business contact with major aircrafts and airborne equipment manufacturers. In the mean time, Company has its custom surveillance warehouse and office facilities in Xi¡¯an Xianyan International Airport, and keeps close relation with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other important custom ports through CASC network, which ensure the rapid and effective aviation supply service, including service for Russian designed aircrafts. In 2000, Company was ranked 8th in National Top 500 foreign trade corporations, and was the largest trade corporation by the amount of import and 3rd largest by the total amount of import & export in Shanxi province. The major business of Company includes the import and export agent service of civil aircraft, engine, parts, airborne equipment, airport communication, navigation, radar and other electronic facilities, aviation related light industrial, chemical, rubber, textile, metal materials, special vehicle and other authorized products. The service also covers aviation technology consult, labor outsourcing, passenger and cargo agent, cargo transportation, storage, processing on giving materials, assembling on provided parts, compensation trade, carrying trade, and import & export of products and technology other than these regulated uniformly by the government.
