On September 8, China Aviation Supplies Import and Export Corporation (CASC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Satair in Beijing on solutions of the support and provision of aviation supplies for Chinese airlines. The MOU was signed by CASC President Tan Kejian and Satair Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Paul Lochab.
CAS President & CEO Li Hai, Vice President Sun Bo, Vice President Yang Xiaoming, Senior Vice President Laurent Martinez of the Customer Services Department of Airbus S.A.S, Vice President Bruno Bousquet of Airbus China and Managing Director Hu Yongdong of Satair China attended the signing ceremony upon invitation.
Both sides will carry out specific cooperation in fields like package purchase of consumable parts, Airbus proprietary parts as well as tools and equipments, and rationalization of inventory for aviation supplies, etc. They will also continuously expand cooperation fields to lower the cost of aviation supplies for domestic airlines and the whole industry. In addition, both sides will establish a regular and long-term high-level communication mechanism, set up teams to promote the development and implementation of various cooperation projects.
The signing of the MOU was an important milestone for CASC to build a pooling platform of aviation supplies in Chinese civil aviation industry. CASC will combine its service advantages in civil aviation industry with Satair’s technical expertise and management experience in aviation supplies to optimize support solutions through the analysis of the consumption data of global fleets on aviation supplies. Therefore, it will increase efficiency of the support of aviation supplies, reduce operational costs, and promote the sound development of civil aviation industry. Both sides will make joint efforts to provide Chinese customers with more economic and efficient services on the provision of aviation supplies.
