Kailan and YTO Airlines Reach an Agreement on the Support of Aviation Supplies

2015-07-06

On July 10, Kailan Aviation Maintenance Service Center (Kailan) signed an agreement on the support of aviation supplies for B737 CL wheels and brakes with Hangzhou YTO Express Airlines (YTO Airlines), a cargo carrier. The agreement was jointly signed by Vice President Xie Haipeng of Kailan and President of YTO Airlines. Following the successful contract signing with Yangtze River Express in June of last year, it was another successful signing with the airlines. It was a step forward for building the platform of integrated wheel and brake support service and gave an impetus to the development of CAS strategy in aviation supplies pooling.

Based on the development idea of the pooling of aviation supplies of CAS, and by summarizing over two decades experiences of repair, sale and service in aircraft wheels and brakes, Kailan will provide customers with all-round services according to aircraft performance, including repairing, leasing, exchanging, pooling and logistic services of the spare parts for wheels and brakes. It will meet the demands of customers in the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao airports. The service sets a precedent in the civil aviation for its fresh business modes, including charging against wheel and brake rotables used, and charging of service fees based on landing cycles.

The agreement will enable YTO Airlines to share the resources of wheels and brakes of Kailan. It will not only realize zero inventories, but also reduce the costs of maintenance and management. At the same time, all the wheels and brakes maintenance businesses for B737 CL of YTO Airlines are secured for Kailan. Therefore, a win-win result will be achieved.

Kailan launched the building of maintenance network in major cities for well providing the service. In 2013, it established Kailan Shanghai Branch, successfully extending the service to eastern China region. Kailan Shanghai Branch became the main force in providing services for customers in eastern China, like YTO Airlines and Yangtze River Express and it is complementary with Kailan headquarters in Beijing in serving the southern and northern maintenance markets.

While consolidating the existing business achievements, Kailan will gradually expand the scale of the service, speeding up the network building in major cities like Chengdu and Shenzhen. The aircraft models will range from B737CL to newer models such as A320, ERJ190 and so on. It will set up a platform of integrated wheel and brake support service centering around Kailan Beijing.
